Job Title: Lead AV Engineer Location: London-based projects (with travel to site) Salary: £35,000 - £45,000

As they continue to grow, they are looking for a confident Lead Engineer who can manage on-site activity, mentor junior engineers, and ensure installations meet the highest standards of excellence.
You will work closely with the Project Manager to lead AV installations on site, ensuring high standards and timely delivery. As a hands-on lead, you’ll manage junior engineers, coordinate with site teams, and maintain clear communication with clients. This role offers variety and responsibility across installation, commissioning, and team leadership.
- Managing and mentoring junior engineers on site
- Collaborating with PM and site teams to deliver projects to a high standard
- Client-facing communication when required
- Requesting equipment and materials for site tasks
- Performing 2nd fix installation and cabling termination following company standards
- Rack building and wiring according to guidelines
- Installing and commissioning systems such as Lutron, Crestron, CCTV, cinema, and surround sound
- Using network tools to diagnose and set up systems (IP, VLANs, VPN)
- Reading technical drawings and guiding junior staff
- Protecting high-end site finishes and maintaining a clean work environment
- Keeping the PM updated on progress and ensuring site safety compliance
- 2nd and 3rd fix AV installation experience
- Strong understanding of AV systems and how they connect
- Rack building experience to a high standard
- Confident in site leadership and team management
- Good working knowledge of IP networking, VLANs, static IPs, VPNs
- Experience with Lutron programming and Crestron tools is a plus
- Knowledge of cinema/surround sound systems and commissioning
- Electrical knowledge and fault finding/problem solving skills
- Ability to read technical schematics and share knowledge with junior engineers
- Comfortable being client-facing when required
- Willingness to be on a weekend/out-of-hours support rota
