As a Network DC Engineer, you’ll design and deliver scalable, high-performance data centre network solutions using the latest Cisco Nexus platforms and DNFC technologies. You'll be a trusted technical expert across client projects and internal initiatives, helping drive automation, architecture, and transformation.
Your core responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing VXLAN-EVPN overlays in complex data centre environments
- Delivering robust Cisco DNFC-based solutions using Nexus 9K/7K/5K platforms and NDFC
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders and clients to gather requirements and propose optimal network designs
- Using automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and Python to drive efficiency and repeatability
- Acting as a senior escalation point for complex L2/L3 and VXLAN fabric issues
- Supporting documentation, testing, and handover processes across full project lifecycles
To be successful in this role, you’ll bring:
- Proven experience designing and deploying VXLAN-EVPN in production
- Hands-on expertise with Cisco Nexus platforms (9K, 7K, 5K) and NDFC (formerly DCNM)
- In-depth knowledge of Layer 2/3 protocols, multicast, and fabric discovery
- Familiarity with Cisco ACI (beneficial but not required)
- Practical experience with automation tools like Ansible, Python, or Terraform
- Strong documentation and client communication skills
- A Cisco certification such as CCNP Data Centre is required; CCIE DC is desirable
