Job Title: Network Operations Specialist Location: Manchester (Hybrid) Salary: £33,000
An established, award-winning technology services provider is expanding its Support Services team and is seeking a full-time 1st Line Network Operations Centre Engineer.
This role is ideal for a motivated team player with experience in first-line support, preferably within a Managed Service Provider environment, and strong customer service skills.
The company places high value on technical skill and ongoing development. Comprehensive training will be provided across the technologies supported, but the ability to quickly adapt to operational processes is essential.
As a Network Operations Specialist, you will be part of a team delivering 24/7/365 support for a range of customer networks.
Key responsibilities include:
- Proactive monitoring of customer devices, dashboards, logs and NMS platforms
- Logging and investigating incidents, escalating where necessary
- Responding to customer queries via phone, email, and service portal
- Ensuring all tickets are handled in line with SLA requirements
- Following scripted procedures to implement changes on customer systems
- Using service desk tools and a range of monitoring platforms to manage workload

- Cisco Switching, ASR/ISR Routers, ASA/FTD Firewalls
- Juniper, Fortinet and Extreme Networks
