We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join a growing Network & Security Operations team, providing senior-level support across complex enterprise network and security environments. This role is focused on BAU support, troubleshooting, and operational stability, supporting critical customer infrastructure in a fully home-based capacity.

You will act as a senior escalation point within the team, supporting secure, resilient LAN, WLAN, and network security platforms, while helping to drive service quality and continuous improvement.

As a senior technical specialist within the network operations function, you’ll be responsible for maintaining, supporting, and optimising live enterprise networks and security platforms.

• Providing 3rd-line support and escalation for complex network and security incidents
• Supporting and maintaining Fortinet security technologies, including FortiGate firewalls, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, Fortinet SD-WAN, FortiAuthenticator (identity-based policy enforcement), and FortiSandbox/FortiWeb where applicable
• Supporting enterprise LAN environments (switching and routing)
• Supporting and troubleshooting enterprise WLAN environments, including controllers and access points
• Diagnosing issues across routing, switching, wireless and security domains
• Performing configuration changes, upgrades, patching and routine maintenance
• Monitoring network performance, availability and security posture
• Creating and maintaining operational documentation, runbooks and knowledge articles
• Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers

• 5+ years’ experience supporting enterprise network and security environments
• Strong hands-on experience with Fortinet security platforms, particularly FortiGate firewalls
• Proven experience with Fortinet SD-WAN design, deployment and support
• Strong enterprise networking experience across LAN, routing and switching
• Proven experience supporting enterprise wireless (WLAN) environments
• Experience operating as a senior / 3rd-line engineer
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Operationally focused and calm under pressure
• Customer- and service-driven, with a strong uptime mindset
• Clear communicator with strong documentation habits
• Detail-oriented and proactive
• Enjoys mentoring and supporting team development

Certifications:

• Fortinet NSE5 certification (required or strongly preferred)
• Additional Fortinet certifications (NSE4, NSE6 or higher) are desirable

• Exposure to network monitoring and management tools
• Experience within managed services or enterprise operations teams
