A design-led smart home specialist delivering high-end residential AV and integrated technology solutions. From bespoke home cinemas and intelligent lighting to robust network infrastructure and advanced control systems, this company works with leading architects and interior designers to create intuitive and luxurious living spaces. Known for its attention to detail and seamless client experiences, the team is growing and looking for a technically strong and ambitious engineer to join their delivery team.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Technical Execution & Commissioning: Lead installation and commissioning of AV, lighting, control, network, security, and cinema systems, including programming systems such as Control4, Lutron Homeworks QS, and Crestron Home.
  • Networking & Calibration: Configure advanced LAN/IP networks (VLAN/Cisco) and perform acoustic calibrations such as DIRAC.
  • Project Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams and third-party contractors to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Interface with clients, architects, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle, including final handovers and training.
  • Design & Documentation: Review drawings and work with the design team to flag changes, technical improvements, and optimisation opportunities.
  • Process & Quality: Carry out fault-finding, maintain project standards, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Your Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in high-end residential AV and smart home systems.
  • Expertise in AV/VC systems, home cinemas, and lighting control installations.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Control4, Lutron Homeworks QS, and Crestron Home systems.
  • Strong understanding of IP networking, Wi-Fi configuration, and system commissioning.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Highly organised, solutions-focused, and capable of managing multiple projects.
  • Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
  • Full UK driving licence required.

Desirable Skills:

  • Advanced programming capability (Control4, Lutron QS, Crestron Home).
  • Acoustic calibration and sound engineering experience (e.g., DIRAC).
  • HVAC control and electric blind/curtain installation knowledge.
  • AVIXA CTS/CTS-I/CTS-D certifications or AutoCAD proficiency.
