Job Title: AV Commissioning Engineer Location: London & South East (Hybrid / Site-Centric) Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 + Bonus (OTE £60,000+)
We are working with a leading UK AV integrator operating across the corporate and enterprise space. With over 50 years of trading history, the business has built a strong reputation for delivering high-end, complex AV environments for blue-chip and FTSE 100 organisations.

Projects span global HQs, executive boardrooms, immersive collaboration spaces, large-scale town halls, and enterprise AV-over-IP deployments.

As a Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for bringing complex AV systems to life, ensuring they are fully tested, optimised, and ready for client handover.
Key responsibilities include:
- Commissioning, configuring, and testing enterprise AV systems in line with technical design documentation
- Fine-tuning DSP systems, control platforms, and signal routing to ensure optimal performance
- Working across AV-over-IP infrastructures and networked AV environments
- Commissioning systems involving Crestron, Extron, and Q-SYS platforms
- Diagnosing and resolving technical faults during commissioning and pre-handover stages
- Collaborating with installation engineers, programmers, and project managers to resolve issues efficiently
- Carrying out system validation against design specifications and performance requirements
- Supporting client demonstrations, system walkthroughs, and end-user training sessions
- Producing commissioning documentation, test results, and handover reports
- Supporting post-installation optimisation where required
- Background in AV commissioning, systems integration, or AV field engineering
- Strong understanding of signal flow, audio systems, and video distribution
- Hands-on experience with DSP tuning and control system configuration
- Knowledge of AV-over-IP and networked AV environments
- Experience with enterprise AV platforms such as Crestron, Extron, or Q-SYS
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills in live environments
- Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and system documentation
- Confident communicator with the ability to engage with clients and technical teams
- Detail focused, methodical, and able to work under pressure during live commissioning phases
- £8,000 – £12,000 realistic annual bonus paid biannually
- 20 days holiday rising to 25 days
