Due to continued growth, the business is hiring a Cloud Services Engineer to join the team and help deliver comprehensive 3rd line support, with a strong focus on Azure Virtual Desktop environments.
As Cloud Services Engineer, you'll act as a technical specialist for Azure Virtual Desktop, providing 3rd line support and playing a key role in supporting, managing, optimising, and enhancing customer AVD platforms.
- Provide 3rd line support, administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimisation of customer AVD environments
- Support the deployment, configuration, and ongoing management of AVD infrastructure, including host pools, session hosts, FSLogix profiles, image management, and user access
- Resolve complex technical issues across cloud applications and infrastructure
- Conduct cloud service enhancements through performance tuning and operational improvements
- Log, track, and manage customer tickets using ITSM tools, ensuring accurate documentation and timely updates
- Assist in developing automation scripts for cloud services, working alongside the DevOps team
- Provide focused troubleshooting and problem-solving for Azure platforms
- Collaborate with team members and customers to diagnose issues promptly and ensure timely resolution
- Strong hands-on experience supporting, managing, and administering Azure Virtual Desktop environments
- Experience troubleshooting and optimising AVD performance, user sessions, FSLogix profiles, and Azure-based virtual desktop infrastructure
- Current experience in a 2nd/3rd line support role within an MSP environment
- Solid experience managing and optimising cloud services, particularly in Azure
- AZ-104 Microsoft Azure Administrator certification
- Understanding of ITIL
- Ability to prioritise work with minimal supervision and use initiative to meet deadlines
- Ability to use PowerShell and Azure CLI to support automation
- Practical understanding of system architecture, networking, and administration
- Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with an ITSM tool
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, shift-based environment and adapt to changing priorities
