Job Title: Cloud Support Analyst Location: York (Hybrid - 2-3 days per week in the office) Salary: £35,000 - £38,000
A leading UK-based IT services provider is expanding its cloud operations team and looking to bring on a Cloud Support Analyst. This is a hybrid role designed for someone currently working in a 2nd or 3rd line support position who wants to specialise in cloud infrastructure - particularly Microsoft Azure. The business has a strong track record of internal progression, and this role offers a clear pathway towards consultancy or technical leadership.
Working at the intersection of support and consultancy, you'll act as a specialist across customer cloud environments. Your responsibilities will include:
- Resolving complex, escalated technical issues related to Microsoft Azure.
- Conducting proactive service reviews and identifying improvements across customer cloud environments.
- Offering recommendations to improve reliability, performance and security.
- Automating recurring tasks using PowerShell, Python, or Shell scripting.
- Collaborating with internal DevOps teams to enhance overall service offering.
- Maintaining clear technical documentation and managing support tickets through ITSM tools.
- Participating in a shift-based support model with hybrid flexibility.
- Experience in a 3rd line or senior 2nd line support role, ideally within a managed services environment.
- Proven understanding of cloud infrastructure, particularly Microsoft Azure (AZ-104 certification desirable).
- Familiarity with ITSM frameworks (ITIL awareness is a plus).
- Good knowledge of networking, system architecture, and cloud automation.
- Proficient scripting skills in PowerShell, Python or Shell.
- Strong communication skills with a customer-first mindset.
- A proactive approach and desire to continually grow and improve.
- Must be based in the UK and eligible for SC clearance (minimum of 5 years UK residency and no criminal record).
