Job Title: Senior DevOps Systems Administrator Location: Remote (1 day a month in office) Salary: £65,000

This is a hands-on, senior-level DevOps role with real autonomy. You’ll be responsible for designing, improving, and supporting cloud and on-prem infrastructure, while driving automation and best practice across the environment.
You’ll work closely with technical and non-technical teams, acting as a subject-matter expert, mentoring others, and helping the business scale securely and efficiently. The organisation actively supports professional development, including training and certifications, and offers clear long-term progression.
- Design, deploy, and maintain infrastructure across AWS and private cloud platforms
- Lead infrastructure automation using tools such as Terraform and Ansible
- Build and improve CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar)
- Implement monitoring and observability solutions to improve visibility and performance
- Collaborate with internal teams to enhance system reliability, resilience, and security
- Manage hybrid networking, IAM, firewalls, and VPNs
- Participate in an on-call rota and support incident response when required
- Produce clear technical documentation and contribute to operational best practice
- 5+ years’ experience in a DevOps or cloud infrastructure role
- Strong hands-on AWS experience
- Experience with virtualisation platforms such as VMware or Proxmox
- Solid Linux administration skills
- Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform, Ansible)
- Containerisation and orchestration experience (e.g. Kubernetes / EKS)
- Scripting ability in Bash, Python, or Go
- Good understanding of networking and cloud security concepts

- Experience with container or infrastructure security tools (e.g. Trivy)
- Salary up to £65,000 depending on experience
